1. Introduction

Socially a MGM.FYI Brand (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates Socially’s suite of social media management tools (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure, and retain your personal information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and connected services.

This policy also includes specific disclosures regarding how we use and handle Google API data, including YouTube and YouTube Analytics, in compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy (including Limited Use requirements).

2. What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Your use of Socially Services
  • Your interactions with our websites and mobile apps;
  • Use of third-party services you choose to connect to Socially, including social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, YouTube, Google My Business, Threads, Bluesky, VK, Mastodon, Telegram, and others.

By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and transfer of your information as described in this policy.

3. Information We Collect

We collect information reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve our Services:

Account & Contact Information

  • Name, email, organization name/address;
  • Preferences, profile images, language, time zone;
  • Billing and payment information (processed securely by third-party payment processors);
  • Contact form and demo request information, including message details, selected topics, company name, team size, preferred booking date/time, consent records, and related anti-spam signals;
  • Affiliate application and partner portal information, including applicant name, email, business details, websites or social profiles, referral activity, payout status, fraud-prevention signals, and related program records.

Social Network Content & Connections

  • Profile data from connected social networks;
  • Messages, posts, comments, media, and interactions you upload or choose to share through our Services;
  • Third-party social content (which may include names, photos, location, opinions, identifiers);
  • Connection credentials you choose to provide for supported integrations, which may include API keys, API secrets, access tokens, refresh tokens, client IDs, client secrets, OAuth settings, Callback URI / Redirect URL values, and related authorization metadata.

Usage & Technical Data

  • IP address and geolocation data;
  • Device identifiers, OS, browser type;
  • Log data, session duration, pages accessed;
  • Analytics and activity tracking, including first-party link click events such as clicked URL, source page, link label, timestamp, referrer, browser type, and an anonymous visitor identifier.

Marketing & Events

  • Contact info and feedback collected through surveys, contests, webinars, events you participate in;
  • Engagement analytics for marketing emails.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies for website functionality, analytics, performance, personalization, security, spam prevention, and remembering user preferences. We may use first-party analytics cookies to understand which links and calls to action visitors use on our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if required cookies are disabled.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use information for core purposes, including:

Service Delivery

  • To authenticate users and connect social network accounts;
  • To store and use integration credentials only as needed to authenticate, schedule, publish, retrieve analytics, reconnect accounts, or perform other actions you request through Socially;
  • To enable scheduling, publishing, analytics, unified inbox, automation, and other core features you request.

Security & Performance

  • Monitor platform security and ensure system integrity;
  • Diagnose issues and improve usability.

Communication

  • Customer support follow-up;
  • Product updates, service notices, account alerts;
  • Marketing communications consistent with your preferences.

Improvement & Analytics

  • Product usage patterns and trends analysis;
  • Internal aggregated metrics for optimization.

5. Google & YouTube API Data Usage

Socially uses Google APIs, including YouTube and YouTube Analytics APIs, to provide features such as analytics and reporting tools.

We only collect and use Google user data where necessary to deliver core Services you have authorized.

Specifically:

  • Google/YouTube data is not used for advertising, retargeting, marketing, profiling, or any secondary purposes;
  • We do not share or transfer Google user data to third parties for non-functional purposes;
  • We do not use Google data for AI or machine-learning training outside of delivering the Services;
  • All handling of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.

You may revoke access to Google data at any time via your Google security settings.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

Third-Party Service Providers

Service providers (such as hosting, payment processing, analytics, support services) who process your data solely to support our Services. These entities are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Social Networks & Connected Accounts

When you connect a social platform account to Socially, that platform may collect, store, and process your information according to its own policies. You agree that data shared through API connections is subject to those third-party terms.

If you provide your own developer app credentials, such as X (Twitter) API credentials, OAuth credentials, or a Callback URI / Redirect URL configuration, Socially uses those values to provide the connected integration. You remain responsible for managing, rotating, revoking, and securing credentials in the third-party developer portal.

Subprocessors & Partners

We may share data with partners who help deliver integrated Services (for example, authorized resellers), subject to confidentiality obligations and only to support your use of the Services.

Legal & Safety

Data may be disclosed if required by law, court order, or to protect legal rights and safety.

7. Data Security & International Transfers

We implement industry-standard security controls to protect your data (encryption, access controls, reviews of subprocessors).

Your data may be stored or processed in Canada, the U.S., or other countries as required to deliver Services. Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to lawfully transfer data.

8. Retention of Information

We retain data as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the requested Services;
  • Comply with legal obligations;
  • Resolve disputes; or
  • Enforce agreements.

Content from social networks may also be cached or stored to support features like analytics (subject to limits and regulatory compliance).

If a user registers for an account but does not verify their email address, Socially may automatically delete the unverified account and related registration data after thirty (30) days.

9. Your Rights

You may:

  • Access, update, correct, or delete personal data about you;
  • Revoke authorization to connected social accounts;
  • Request data portability or restrict processing where applicable by law;
  • Opt out of marketing communications.

10. Children & Eligibility

Socially Services are intended for users who are 18 years or older and using the Services for business purposes.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our Services, laws, or data practices. Material changes will be posted with a revised effective date.
